PRESIDENT WELCOMING ADDRESS 

Dear Members,

As President of our newly registered association, Pertubuhan Pengusaha Acara Perniagaan Sarawak or Sarawak Business Events Association (SBE), I am humbled and delighted to welcome everyone onboard.

This is the first state level business events association in Malaysia and committed to advancing and elevating the standards of the Industry, in line with the objectives of our association to serve as a platform for members to share knowledge, contribute ideas, and uphold good and ethical standards of conduct and professionalism in Business Events.

PIES - Pragmatic, Inclusive, Economically Viable and Sustainable is our guiding light to implement programmes and activities which benefit our members and community at large.

The committees and I are looking forward to working closely with everyone, from individual members to industry partners; from corporations and associations to government agencies, notwithstanding the current Covid-19 pandemic which affects our daily social and economic well-being.

Our immediate task is to assess the condition, health and well-being of our Members’ business and operations, and to identify ways and means to assist in implementing programmes to assist you.

We have formed the following committees for the specific purpose of helping our Members and the industry through this difficult time:

7. Data & Research

I want to encourage you to step forward and participate by joining any one of the committees. Only through your active involvement and participation can the association grow stronger and effective.

For those who have yet to sign up as member please do so as soon as possible. Our high speed train is moving soon, do not miss the chance to step on board early.

I truly look forward to the day when Kuching will become the Centre of Excellence for Business Events and Tourism in Malaysia.
